My 8 year-old daughter just had her tonsils and adenoids out 2 weeks ago. She had some trouble with strep throat and other throat viruses, but our main concern was actually her sleeping. She was an open-mouth, snoring, and very restless sleeper. Her tonsils were huge and there was concern for sleep apnea. It was rough for about a week and another week of low activity and easing back from all soft foods. Let me tell you, it is absolutely amazing the difference since the surgery! She was sleeping with her mouth closed immediately following surgery, even though the doctor said it could take a couple weeks. We are all looking forward to a healthier and well rested 2013!
