Birthday Party Ideas

I'm starting to plan my daughters 8th birthday party that we are hosting at our home this year.  We have been researching and brainstorming for games and activities for the girls.  One thing I really want to do is a scavenger hunt outside that will lead to a "treasure".  A friend of mine did this a few years ago and it was so fun for the kids.  All you need is to place your "treasure" and start with a clue that will lead them to the next clue and so on.  You can be a as creative as you want to be as far as rhyming the clues, how many, and where you want to send them for the clues.  If you have a lot of kids you can do teams, they can go individually, or you can just read the clue and let them start looking.  It's a blast!  Besides the scavenger hunt, right now we are leaning towards the traditional games like a pinata, ring toss, and pin the tail on the donkey. I better have a lot of prizes for these girls because it sounds like a fun-filled party of games, games, and games!  Once I have all the details lined up, I will share with you all.
